Fuwwah lies in Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate on the eastern bank of the Rosetta branch of the Nile. On a map, the town forms a dense band of narrow streets along the river, with the water marking its western edge. Beyond the town, the flat Delta land is divided into small fields, crossed by canals and rural roads that link many villages.
Fuwwah is known for its historic Islamic architecture.
