Garhshankar is a town in Hoshiarpur district, in the Doaba region of Punjab, India. It lies on the plain not far from the low Shivalik hills to the northeast and serves as a market and administrative centre for the farming villages around it.
The map shows a compact town with a dense core of narrow streets and a looser ring of newer building along the roads that lead out of it. Beyond that, the land is broken into small fields. A Garhshankar map poster shows how the roads fan out towards the neighbouring towns across the Doaba.
