Central grid
The town is organised as a regular grid around its central square. This makes the built-up area look neat and deliberate when seen from above.

Zemljevid
Getúlio Vargas Map Poster & Print
Getúlio Vargas lies on the high plateau in the north of Rio Grande do Sul, in a region settled largely by European immigrant farmers. The town is named after the Brazilian president Getúlio Vargas. On a map it shows the orderly planning typical of towns in this region, with a regular grid of blocks around a central square and streets extending evenly in every direction.
A railway line passes through the town, and its curve cuts across the grid at an angle, showing how settlement followed the tracks. Beyond the urban edge, the plateau opens into a patchwork of farmland, with fields separated by rural roads, stands of trees and small streams running through shallow valleys.
A Getúlio Vargas map poster is clean and balanced. It shows a compact planned centre, a single line of railway running through it and a wide agricultural landscape stretching away in every direction. The result has a calm geometry that suits a single-colour print.

Railway curve
The railway line crosses the town at an angle to the street grid. Its gentle curve is one of the few non-rectangular features within the urban area.
Plateau farmland
Fields, rural roads and small wooded valleys surround the town. Together they create an irregular patchwork that softens the edges of the grid.
