Santa Maria Map Poster & Print
Santa Maria sits almost exactly at the geographic centre of Rio Grande do Sul, which is why it is often called the heart of the state. From above it reads as a compact downtown on uneven ground, surrounded by neighbourhoods that spread across gentle hills. To the north the land rises toward the edge of the plateau, and green slopes begin to press in on the streets.
The city grew as a railway junction, and old rail alignments still cut across parts of the map. It is also known as a university town. The Federal University of Santa Maria, founded in 1960, was the first federal university in Brazil established outside a state capital. Its campus forms a large, distinct area on the city's outskirts.
The streets follow a loose grid that bends where hills and streams demand it. A Santa Maria map poster captures that balance: a regular centre, curving outer districts and wide open spaces for the campus and military areas. It is a calm, clearly organised composition of an inland southern Brazilian city.

Downtown grid
The historic centre follows a fairly regular pattern of streets and blocks. It makes a dense core from which the rest of the city spreads outward.
Railway lines
Rail alignments recall the city's history as a junction for the state's railways. They cut across the street pattern as long, gentle curves.

Zakaj Santa Maria
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Thousands of students have passed through Santa Maria, and many leave with strong ties to the city. A map poster marks those years through their streets and campus, not a generic skyline.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates, such as a graduation year or a neighbourhood. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic black & white gives the grid a clear, graphic look.
