Frei Damião memorial
A hilltop statue of the Capuchin friar overlooks the town. The winding road that leads up to it forms a distinct thread at the edge of the built-up area.

Guarabira Map Poster & Print
Guarabira sits inland in Paraíba, in north-eastern Brazil, in the transition zone between the humid coastal strip and the drier agreste. The land here rolls, and the town spreads across uneven ground, so its streets bend and break instead of following one uniform grid. Guarabira is the commercial centre for a wide ring of smaller municipalities, and the highways converging on it show that role clearly.
Its best-known landmark is the memorial to Frei Damião, the Capuchin friar revered across the Northeast. His large statue stands on a hill overlooking the town and draws pilgrims throughout the year. On the map, the road climbing to it stands out against the denser streets of the centre. There, shops, churches and squares cluster together in the traditional pattern of a north-eastern market town.
A Guarabira map poster turns this rolling ground into a composition of curving roads, compact blocks and open land. In black and white, the relief shows only in how the streets follow the contours. The result is clear and legible, and still personal to anyone who has walked up to the memorial or through the market on a busy morning.

Commercial centre
Tight blocks, squares and market streets form the darkest part of the map, the core of a town that serves many smaller neighbours.
Contour-following streets
Outside the centre, the streets curve with the uneven ground of the agreste, giving the plan a looser, more organic outline than a strict grid.
