Zemljevid
Hajīn Map Poster & Print
Hajīn lies in eastern Syria, on the banks of the Euphrates downstream from Deir ez-Zor. Its shape from above is defined by the river: the town extends along the water rather than away from it, with streets running parallel to the bank and shorter lanes connecting them in a stretched, linear pattern.
Along the Euphrates, a narrow band of irrigated farmland follows the river, and beyond it the land turns quickly to dry steppe and desert. That contrast is one of the most striking things about this region on a map: a green ribbon of settlement and fields held tightly against the water.
A Hajīn map poster records this relationship between river and town. The curving line of the Euphrates, the elongated built-up area beside it and the plain ground beyond make a simple, balanced composition, one that carries meaning for people connected to the town wherever they now live.

Linear town
Streets run along the river in long parallel lines, giving Hajīn a stretched outline that follows the water rather than forming a round centre.
Fields and desert
A thin strip of cultivated land lines the river, while the wider area beyond becomes open and largely unmarked, a clear edge between irrigation and dry land.
