Hongqiao Map Poster & Print
Hongqiao is the seat of Qidong County in the Hengyang area of southern Hunan, not to be confused with the Hongqiao district of Shanghai. The Xiang River, the main waterway of the province, crosses the county on its way north. The landscape around the town is a patchwork of low hills, rice fields and small ponds.
From above, the town has a clear older core of narrow streets surrounded by newer development with wide roads and large residential blocks. Main roads connect it with Hengyang and neighbouring counties. The built-up area fades gradually into villages and farmland rather than ending abruptly, a pattern typical of growing county towns in central China.
A Hongqiao map poster shows these layers clearly. The dense centre gives the print weight, the new avenues add straight, confident lines, and the ponds scattered through the countryside appear as small solid shapes that give the margins a steady rhythm. It is a portrait of an ordinary town that means a great deal to the people who come from it.

New avenues
Wide, straight roads and large residential blocks surround the old centre, showing clearly on the map how the town has expanded outward.
Pond country
Countless small ponds and paddies dot the land around town, and in monochrome they become a scattered pattern of dark shapes across the edges.

Zakaj Hongqiao
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people from Qidong work in larger cities across China, and a map of Hongqiao is a way to keep the home county close. It also makes a thoughtful gift for parents or grandparents who still live there.
Personalise the title and subtitle, for example with Qidong or a family name, and edit the coordinates line. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand offer different moods, and you can print the files at home or order a finished poster.
