Ila Orangun Map Poster & Print
Ila Orangun is one of the historic towns of Yorubaland and the seat of the Orangun of Ila, a traditional ruler whose title is among the older ones in the region. On a map the town appears as a cluster of streets and compounds in the northeast of Osun State, surrounded by farmland and patches of woodland.
The layout follows the pattern of many Yoruba towns: a central area associated with the palace and market, from which roads radiate toward neighbouring communities. Between these routes, residential quarters fill in irregularly, shaped by family compounds rather than a planned grid. The result is an organic outline with streets that curve and branch.
An Ila Orangun map poster holds a place with deep roots in a clear, modern form. Rendered in black and white, the radiating roads and dense core create a strong centre surrounded by open space, which gives the print a balanced, grounded composition.

Radiating roads
Routes leave the centre in several directions toward nearby towns, giving the plan a star-like structure typical of long-established Yoruba settlements.
Surrounding farmland
Beyond the built-up area, the map opens into countryside, so the town stands out as a distinct shape rather than merging with neighbours.
