Historic core
Around the old central hill, streets are short and irregular and the buildings sit close together. It is the densest and most intricate part of the poster.

Irbid Map Poster & Print
Irbid spreads across high, open ground in the north of Jordan, not far from the borders with Syria. From above it is compact and dense, with an older core of short, closely packed streets surrounded by newer districts where the blocks become more regular. Major roads leave the centre in several directions and link the city to the towns and farmland of the northern plateau.
The city is very old. Its central mound has been associated with ancient Arbela, and people have lived on this site for thousands of years. Today Irbid is best known as a university city. Yarmouk University lies inside the urban area, and the Jordan University of Science and Technology is a short distance away, which gives the city a large student population.
An Irbid map poster captures that mix of old and new in a single frame. The tight lanes around the centre contrast with the wider grid around them, and the campus grounds appear as larger open parcels among the dense housing. In black and white, the city's steady outward growth reads almost like the rings of a tree.

Yarmouk University
The campus takes up a large block within the city. Its internal paths and open spaces are a quieter pattern set among the surrounding residential streets.
Radiating roads
Main routes leave the centre toward the surrounding towns and plateau farmland. They give the composition a clear sense of direction from the middle to the edge.

Zakaj Irbid
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Irbid is where many people spend their student years, and many families have roots there going back generations. A map of the city marks either connection quietly, without needing a photograph.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, for instance with a graduation year, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
