Winding roads
Roads follow the rise and fall of the laterite terrain, curving along ridges and down to valley floors, which gives the map a flowing, organic network.

Irivēri Map Poster & Print
Irivēri lies in the Kannur district of northern Kerala, a short distance inland from the Malabar coast. The landscape is gently undulating, with low laterite hills, small streams and valleys given over to paddy fields and coconut palms. From above, the settlement is dispersed, as is common in Kerala, with houses spread among trees along a network of winding roads.
In this part of Kerala, villages and towns merge into one another and the boundary between rural and urban is soft. Roads follow ridges and valley edges, and small junctions with shops and services act as local focal points. The coast and the town of Kannur are close enough to shape daily life, work and travel.
An Irivēri map poster captures this quieter geography: a web of curving roads, the thin lines of streams and the scattered texture of houses among greenery. It is not a grid but a lattice grown from the land, and in black and white it takes on an intricate, almost botanical quality.

Streams and paddy
Small watercourses run through the lower ground, bordered by paddy fields, and appear as fine lines weaving between the roads.
Dispersed settlement
Houses are scattered among coconut palms and other trees rather than packed into blocks, producing an even, delicate texture across the whole poster.
