Itaquitinga Map Poster & Print
Itaquitinga lies in the northern Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, the coastal hinterland long devoted to sugarcane. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets set among gentle hills, surrounded by wide cultivated land. Roads lead out toward neighbouring towns and toward the coast, while small rivers and streams wind through the valleys around it.
The Zona da Mata takes its name from the Atlantic Forest that once covered it, most of which gave way to plantations over the centuries. Today the landscape around Itaquitinga is dominated by large fields, with patches of woodland along slopes and waterways. The town itself functions as a local centre for this rural area, within reach of Recife.
An Itaquitinga map poster combines the close pattern of the town's streets with the broad, open shapes of the fields around it. Curving roads follow the hills, and thin lines of streams add detail to the valleys. In a monochrome print the composition is simple and balanced, a small town clearly placed within the landscape that shaped it.

Cane fields
Large cultivated plots surround the town, giving the outer parts of the map a broad, open character broken only by farm roads and field edges.
Valley streams
Small rivers and streams wind through the low ground between the hills, adding fine, meandering lines that soften the composition around the town.
