Kandamkunnu Map Poster & Print
Kandamkunnu is a locality in Kannur district in northern Kerala, in the rolling country inland from the Malabar coast. Settlements here rarely form a dense centre. Houses spread along roads and lanes that climb and curve over low laterite hills, among coconut groves, gardens and paddy land in the valleys.
That gives the map its character. Instead of blocks, there is a fine web of winding roads that follow the ground. Between them are wide green gaps where plantations and trees take up the space. The overall impression is scattered and gentle, very typical of rural and semi-urban Kerala.
A Kandamkunnu map poster reduces this landscape to its essential lines. The roads trace the land's contours, and the open spaces carry the calm of the countryside. It is a fitting keepsake for Malayali families living in the Gulf, elsewhere in India or further afield, who want home on the wall.

Dispersed settlement
Houses and small clusters spread along the roads instead of forming a compact core, a pattern typical of Kerala's semi-rural areas.
Valley green space
Lower ground between the hills holds fields and groves, which show up as open areas that balance the network of lanes.
