Kanhān Map Poster & Print
Kanhān is a town in the Nagpur district of Maharashtra and takes its name from the river beside it. The Kanhan River flows through this part of central India toward the Wainganga. The town has grown along the river, where the road and railway leading into the Nagpur area also cross.
On a map, Kanhān has a linear form. The streets are strung along the main road, and the railway line runs alongside with its station. The river curves past, with its wide sandy bed and bridge crossings. Neighbourhoods fill in the spaces between these lines, and farmland lies beyond them.
A Kanhān map poster shows how a river and transport lines can shape a town. The broad band of the river contrasts with the straight rail line and the fine grain of the streets. The result is a clear, well-structured composition with a strong sense of movement.

The railway line
The track runs through Kanhān in a straight line with the station along it. It gives the composition a firm structure.
