Karīmganj Map Poster & Print
Karīmganj sits in the Barak Valley of southern Assam, on the bank of the Kushiyara River, which here forms the international border with Bangladesh. The map makes that edge unmistakable: the town's streets end at a broad, winding river, and across it lies another country. Few places show a border as plainly as a line of water drawn against a street grid.
The Longai River also passes near the town before joining the wider river system, and the low, wet landscape around Karīmganj is full of ponds, channels and paddy fields. The built-up area stretches along the riverbank rather than spreading evenly, so the plan has an elongated, linear shape that follows the water.
The town has long been a trading and administrative centre for the valley, and in 2024 its district was renamed Sribhumi. A Karīmganj map poster renders the curve of the Kushiyara, the roads running parallel to it and the patchwork of water bodies inland in clean, balanced lines, a quiet portrait of a place defined by its river.

Riverside spread
Instead of a compact centre, the town extends along the river, so its roads form long parallel bands that follow the bank.
Ponds and channels
Small ponds and water channels are scattered through the surrounding land, adding a scattered rhythm of shapes around the denser streets.

Zakaj Karīmganj
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families from the Barak Valley, Karīmganj is a place of origin as much as an address. A map poster of the town and its river offers a composed, lasting reminder of home that works as well in a flat in Guwahati or abroad as it does locally.
