Yaryksu river
The river crosses the town from the foothills toward the plain, and its winding course breaks up the grid and gives the composition a natural line.

Khasavyurt Map Poster & Print
Khasavyurt lies in the northwest of Dagestan, where the flat Caspian lowland meets the first foothills of the Caucasus. The Yaryksu river runs through the town, and from above its course, lined with trees and gardens, cuts through a street grid that spreads across the plain. Main roads and a railway run east toward Makhachkala and west toward Chechnya, which lies just across the nearby border.
The town is known across Russia for the Khasavyurt Accord, signed here in 1996, which ended the first Chechen war. It is one of the largest towns in Dagestan and is home to people of many ethnic groups, including Chechens, Avars and Kumyks. Markets and trade have long been central to its role in the region.
A Khasavyurt map poster shows the town as a mostly regular grid shaped by the river and the main roads. Private houses with gardens give many neighbourhoods a fine, even texture, while the railway and highways draw strong lines across them. The open land around the town gives the composition a calm frame.

Low-rise grid
Many districts consist of private houses on regular blocks, creating a dense, even pattern across the map that reads clearly in every style.
Transport corridors
The railway and main roads crossing the town connect it to Makhachkala and the west, running as long straight lines through the street pattern.
