Branching lanes
Instead of straight blocks, small roads split and rejoin as they reach individual homesteads, producing a fine, irregular network that looks especially delicate in a monochrome print.

Kuruvattūr Map Poster & Print
Kuruvattūr lies in the northern part of Kerala, inland from the Malabar coast and within reach of Kozhikode. Like many places in the state, it does not have a single dense centre. Houses sit on their own plots among trees, linked by narrow roads and footpaths that follow the lie of the land, so the map shows a soft network of lines rather than blocks.
This pattern is typical of rural and semi-urban Kerala, where settlements merge gradually into one another and the boundary between village and town is hard to see from above. A Kuruvattūr map poster captures that texture: branching lanes, a few main roads carrying most of the traffic, and small patches of water or low-lying field between them.
The monsoon climate shapes everything here, from the dense vegetation to the drainage channels and ponds that appear on the map. Roads tend to run along slightly higher ground, while lower land is often left for cultivation. The result, printed in a single colour, is an unusually organic plan, closer to a leaf's veins than to a city grid.

Low-lying fields
Areas kept for cultivation sit between the built-up strips, appearing as open spaces that give the map rhythm and show where the land dips toward water.
Links to the coast
A few larger roads connect the area toward Kozhikode and the Malabar coast, forming the stronger lines that hold the looser local pattern together.

Zakaj Kuruvattūr
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families from Kerala living elsewhere, a place like Kuruvattūr is rarely on any souvenir. A map of the lanes around home, or the house where someone grew up, offers a quiet and specific reminder that does not depend on photographs.
The title can carry the place name in English or another spelling, and the subtitle can hold a family name or date. Paper gives a soft, archival feel, while Noir turns the network of lanes into fine light lines on a dark ground.
