The lagoon
The small lagoon that gave the town its name sits on the edge of the built-up area. Surrounded by pines, it forms a rounded water shape on the poster.

Laguna de Duero Map Poster & Print
Laguna de Duero lies just south of Valladolid in Castile and León, close to the Duero River. The town takes its name from a small lagoon on its edge, which is surrounded by pine woodland. On a map, this lagoon and the green area around it are the most distinctive features, set against the streets of the town.
Laguna grew considerably as Valladolid expanded, and its layout shows this. There is a small older centre, and around it are newer residential districts, with blocks of flats, housing estates and wide roads. Toward the edges, the pine forests of the region's sandy soils frame the town on several sides.
A Laguna de Duero map poster shows a place that is both a satellite of a larger city and a town with its own character. The lagoon gives the map a soft, rounded feature, the pine woods create large open areas, and the street network fills the space in between. It is a clear and balanced composition.

Pine woodland
Stands of pine on the sandy soils frame the town. On the map, they appear as broad open areas between the streets and the roads.
Duero nearby
The Duero River runs close by, and its bends appear toward the edge of the map. It links Laguna to the wider river landscape of Castile.
