Campus quads
The university campuses appear as large enclosed rectangles, each with its own internal paths, running tracks and courtyard buildings, a pattern unlike anything else in the surrounding district.

Liangxiang Map Poster & Print
Liangxiang lies in Fangshan District on the flat southwestern edge of the Beijing plain, with the Western Hills on the horizon. On a map it reads as two towns in one. There is an older settlement with a tighter, less regular street pattern, and beside it a newer planned district of wide avenues and large rectangular blocks, laid out on almost perfectly level ground.
Much of that planned district is Liangxiang University Town, where several Beijing universities opened large suburban campuses in the 2000s. Their quads, sports grounds and rows of dormitories make some of the most distinctive shapes on the map. The Fangshan Line of the Beijing Subway links the area to the rest of the city, and its route draws a long, clear line through the district.
A Liangxiang map poster captures the contrast between the older town fabric and the grid of campuses and residential compounds, with farmland and new suburbs at the edges. It is an unusual subject for wall art, and that is part of its appeal. It tends to mean the most to people who studied here, worked here or raised a family in one of the new neighbourhoods.

Older town fabric
The older part of Liangxiang keeps a finer, less regular network of streets, and its contrast with the wide avenues nearby shows up clearly in black and white.
Subway corridor
The Fangshan Line connects Liangxiang with central Beijing, and the corridor along its route cuts a long, straight stroke across the district's blocks and open land.

Zakaj Liangxiang
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people who hang a Liangxiang poster spent four formative years on one of its campuses. The map keeps the paths between lecture halls, canteens and dormitories in view long after graduation. It works just as well for families who have settled in the new residential compounds and want a record of their first years there.
Add a title, a graduation year or a short subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Take the HD files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
