Irrigation canals
Straight channels fed by the Yellow River cut across the plain beside roads and field edges, and they give the map its strong linear rhythm.

Linhe Map Poster & Print
Linhe lies on the flat plain of northern Ningxia, a short distance east of Yinchuan and close to the Yellow River. From above, the landscape is organised by water. Long, straight irrigation channels run through farmland divided into rectangles, and the town sits inside this geometric patchwork. Roads follow the same logic, so the map reads as a set of clean, parallel lines interrupted only by the river's broad curves.
The Ningxia plain has been irrigated from the Yellow River for centuries, and you can see that in almost every line of the drawing. Canals and ditches run beside roads and field boundaries, making a pattern that is quiet but precise. A Linhe map poster keeps that precision and shows how a small town fits into a landscape shaped more by engineering than by hills or coastlines.
Beyond the fields the terrain opens toward drier country, a reminder that this green strip exists because of the river. In black and white, the main subject becomes the contrast between the dense town core and the orderly farmland around it. It suits anyone who likes maps that explain how a place works rather than simply decorating a wall.

Field patchwork
Rectangular plots surround the town on most sides. Their boundaries form a fine grid that frames the built-up area like a mat around a print.
Yellow River nearby
The river's wide channel passes close by. Its soft, braided curves stand out against the ruler-straight canals and roads that fill the rest of the composition.

Zakaj Linhe
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Linhe rarely appears in atlases, which makes a personal map of it more meaningful for the people who come from here. The poster records home streets and the farmland around them with the same care usually given to capital cities.
You can write any title you like, add a subtitle with a year or family name, and include a coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, with no watermark.
