Malekān Map Poster & Print
Malekān lies in the south of East Azerbaijan province, on the low plain that extends from the southeastern shore of Lake Urmia. From above, the town is compact, with a denser centre and residential streets spreading outward into a patchwork of fields and orchards. Roads connect it to nearby towns across the flat land.
The plain around Malekān is known for its agriculture, and irrigation channels and field boundaries give the surrounding area a detailed, geometric texture. The lake itself lies a short distance to the northwest, and in recent decades its shrinking shoreline has become a major environmental concern for the whole region.
A Malekān map poster shows a settlement defined by farming rather than by a river or a coast: a clear urban core within a wide pattern of cultivated land. It is a precise, understated composition that captures the character of the plain.

Orchards and fields
The land around the town is divided into many plots, and their boundaries give the edges of the map a fine, regular texture.
Toward Lake Urmia
Northwest of the town, the plain slopes gradually toward the lake, with fewer settlements and more open ground as it approaches the shore.
