Manchester Map Poster & Print
Manchester is a city in west St. Louis County, Missouri, roughly twenty miles west of downtown St. Louis. From above, its defining feature is Manchester Road, a long commercial corridor running east to west through the centre, with residential subdivisions of curving streets and cul-de-sacs branching off on either side. Creeks and wooded strips follow the low ground between neighbourhoods.
The road is older than the suburb. Manchester Road began as a nineteenth-century route west from St. Louis, and a small settlement grew up along it long before postwar housing filled the surrounding farmland. Today the city is mostly residential, with parks and school grounds forming green patches among the subdivisions.
A Manchester map poster suits families who have lived in west County for years, people who grew up in these subdivisions and moved away, or anyone buying a first home here. The branching pattern of cul-de-sacs off a single spine road is distinctive, and it prints clearly at every size from A3 to 24×36″.

Cul-de-sac subdivisions
Residential streets curve and loop away from the main roads into dead ends, forming branching, leaf-like patterns typical of postwar suburban St. Louis County.
Creek corridors
Small creeks run through the low ground between neighbourhoods, lined with wooded strips and parkland that break the housing into distinct pockets.

Zakaj Manchester
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Suburban maps often end up in hallways and home offices as a record of where a family put down roots. Manchester's street pattern, with its looping subdivisions, gives that record a pleasing graphic form rather than a plain grid.
Add a family name, a street or the year you moved in to the title and subtitle, edit the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint. Files are $9, and printed posters ship from print partners in 30+ countries.
