The airport runways
The runways and airport grounds form long straight lines and large blank areas. They are the most distinctive geometric element on the print.

Mirabel Map Poster & Print
Mirabel is one of the largest municipalities in the Montreal region by area. It was formed from several villages and parishes when the federal government expropriated a large territory for a new international airport, which opened in the 1970s. Passenger traffic later returned to Montréal-Trudeau, and the Mirabel site shifted toward cargo and industry.
On the map, those runways and airport grounds are the most striking feature, with long straight lines and wide blank areas. Around them lie farmland and a scattering of older villages, each with its own small cluster of streets. The Rivière du Nord and the Rivière des Mille Îles also cross or border the territory.
A Mirabel map poster is less about a single town centre and more about a landscape. Wide open land, a few villages and the geometric shapes of the airport create a composition that is spacious and quite unusual among city maps.

Scattered village centres
Mirabel combines several older villages, and each appears as its own small cluster of streets surrounded by open land.
Rivers and farmland
Rivers wind through a landscape that is still largely agricultural. On the map this leaves plenty of open white space with gently curving water.

Zakaj Mirabel
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
The print suits people from any of Mirabel's village sectors, families affected by the airport's history, and aviation enthusiasts. Its open composition is distinctive among city prints and works well in larger formats.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with the name of your sector or a family date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint emphasises the runways.
