Numbered zones
The district is organised into distinct zones, each a self-contained grid of residential lanes. This gives the poster a modular, almost diagrammatic structure.

Mohammed Bin Zayed City Map Poster & Print
Mohammed Bin Zayed City is a large planned district on the Abu Dhabi mainland, set back from the island and the coast. Its map is strikingly orderly. The city is divided into numbered zones. Each one is a rectangle of villa plots, internal streets, mosques and small community parks, separated from the next by wide boulevards and bordered by major highways.
The district is named after Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, now President of the United Arab Emirates. It developed as a residential and commercial area for families living on the mainland, with shopping centres and schools along its main roads. The industrial area of Mussafah and other large mainland communities lie nearby, together forming a broad band of development.
On a Mohammed Bin Zayed City map poster, the repeated blocks form a quiet geometric pattern, like a carefully drawn urban plan. Rows of villa lanes, the square outline of each zone and the long lines of the highways stand out against the pale, empty desert around them. The map rewards close looking, zone by zone.

Boulevards and highways
Wide roads separate the zones and connect the district to the rest of the mainland and to Abu Dhabi island. They frame the neighbourhood in strong straight lines.
Desert edges
Where development ends, the map opens into sand and scrub. The planned grid sits against wide empty space, which makes its outline unusually crisp.
