Historic core
Around the church and square, short, irregular streets preserve an older, tighter pattern that stands out clearly against the straighter blocks built around it.

Moncada Map Poster & Print
Moncada lies in the Horta Nord, the irrigated farmland just north of Valencia. Its centre is a dense cluster of narrow streets around the parish church and main square. Newer districts extend outward in more regular blocks, and the whole town sits on flat ground that the city has not quite absorbed, with fields still visible between the settlements on the map.
The Real Acequia de Moncada, a medieval irrigation channel, carries water from the Turia across a wide stretch of the huerta, and its name is tied to the town. On a Moncada map poster the surrounding land becomes a mesh of small, elongated plots and farm tracks, precise and repetitive, pressing right up to the built edge.
The metro line to Valencia and the roads toward the coast and the interior link Moncada to the city, yet the town keeps its own identity and scale. The large seminary and university buildings on its edge add a few broad footprints to an otherwise fine-grained layout, a contrast that gives the composition structure.

Acequia and huerta
The irrigation network divides the land into narrow parcels. At print scale this becomes a delicate hatched texture of field lines surrounding the town.
Link to Valencia
Rail and road lines run south toward Valencia, drawing firm strokes through the huerta and showing how closely the town sits beside the city.

Zakaj Moncada
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Moncada suits someone who knows the Horta Nord from the inside, from walks along the irrigation channels or a childhood spent between the town and the city. The pattern of fields and streets makes a quiet, well-balanced piece for a kitchen, a study or a first flat.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date or a short dedication, and choose Paper or Sand for a warmer look, or Classic, Noir or Blueprint for sharper contrast. Order a matte print, framed if you like, or download the HD files for $9.
