Downtown grid
The historic centre is a small, regular grid of blocks around the courthouse area, the densest part of the map and the point from which the town's roads radiate.

Mount Pleasant Map Poster & Print
Mount Pleasant is the county seat of Titus County in northeast Texas, set in the gently rolling, wooded country between Dallas and Texarkana. Its map starts with a compact downtown of rectangular blocks and then spreads out along the main roads, with neighbourhoods, commercial strips and industrial sites filling in the land between them.
Interstate 30 runs past the town, making it a regular stop on the route between the Dallas area and Arkansas. Beyond the built-up area, the landscape is a patchwork of farmland, pine woods and reservoirs, part of the lake country that characterises this corner of the state.
On a Mount Pleasant map poster, the contrast is clear: a tight grid at the centre, longer and looser roads at the edges, and the straight line of the interstate cutting across. It is a portrait of a working East Texas town rather than a tourist postcard, and that plainness is part of its appeal.

Interstate 30
The interstate passes the town on its way between Dallas and Texarkana, forming a strong straight line that anchors the composition and sets the edge of many districts.
Lake country edges
Outside town, roads wind between fields, pine woods and reservoirs, so the map softens from urban blocks into a more open, rural pattern near its borders.
