Mullānwāla Map Poster & Print
Mullānwāla lies in the Punjab plains of northwestern India, a region of flat, fertile land watered by a dense network of canals and some of the most productive farmland in the country. The town is small. On a map it reads as a compact cluster of streets in a wide grid of fields, with roads running straight across the level ground to neighbouring villages.
Punjab's landscape is shaped as much by engineering as by nature. Canals and their smaller branches cut long, straight lines across the plain, and field boundaries tend to line up with them, which produces a strong geometric pattern. Towns like Mullānwāla sit inside this grid, and their older lanes are denser and more irregular than the fields around them.
A Mullānwāla map poster shows that contrast clearly: the crowded, irregular core of a Punjabi town against the ordered farmland beyond. The straight lines of roads and canals run to the edges of the frame and give the print a calm, almost architectural feel. It is a subject for people who know the place personally, not one you will find in guidebooks.

Canal lines
Irrigation canals cross the Punjab plain in long, straight runs. On the map they appear as clean lines cutting through the surrounding farmland.
Field patchwork
Farmland surrounds the town on all sides, divided into regular plots and connected by straight farm roads. It gives the outer map a quiet, orderly pattern.
