The narrow lanes of the old market form the tightest part of the street pattern. They sit low in the basin near the Basilica.

Nazareth Map Poster & Print
Nazareth fills a bowl-shaped valley in the hills of Lower Galilee, and its streets must follow the terrain. On the map, the old town sits low in the basin, with narrow lanes around the market. Winding roads then climb the slopes in curves and switchbacks. The newer city of Nof HaGalil spreads along the ridges above.
Nazareth is known as the childhood home of Jesus in Christian tradition, and it has long been a place of pilgrimage. The Basilica of the Annunciation, completed in 1969, is one of the largest churches in the Middle East. Mary's Well and the Church of St Gabriel lie to the north. Nazareth is also the largest Arab city in Israel.
A Nazareth map poster shows a city shaped by its hills. A dense old core sits in the basin, and curved roads rise around it. It suits residents, pilgrims and anyone who has walked through the market and up the slopes.
