Ner, also known as Ner Parsopant, is a town in Yavatmal district in the Vidarbha region of eastern Maharashtra. The landscape around it is the open, gently rolling Deccan country, farmed largely for cotton and other rain-fed crops.
From above, Ner is a dense cluster of lanes and small blocks, with a few main roads running out to neighbouring towns and villages. There is no grid here: the streets have grown gradually, following older paths and field edges, and the map shows that organic growth clearly.
