Canal lines
Long, straight irrigation channels cross the plain around the town. On the poster they read as ruled strokes that set the orientation of the fields and the settlement between them.

New Badah Map Poster & Print
New Badah lies in the Larkana area of upper Sindh, on the broad alluvial plain west of the Indus. From above, the land is almost completely level. The shape of the town comes from water: irrigation canals and their smaller branches run in long, deliberate lines, and the settlement sits between them. The fields around it form a fine patchwork that reaches right to the edge of the built area.
The town's streets are short and closely packed. Lanes meet at irregular angles, and a few wider roads carry traffic out towards neighbouring villages and the district's larger towns. On paper this gives a clear contrast between a dense, knotted centre and the ruled geometry of the canal network around it. Few maps show so plainly how a place in the Indus plain is organised around irrigation.
A New Badah map poster keeps the drawing simple: streets in black, open ground left pale, and the canal lines working as a frame. The file is drawn from open map data at the scale of a whole town, so the lanes stay sharp even at the larger print sizes. It suits anyone who wants a record of a place that seldom appears on printed maps.

Dense town core
The centre is a tight mesh of short lanes and small blocks. Printed in black, it forms a dark, compact mass against the open farmland that surrounds it.
Field patchwork
Farm plots border the town on every side. Their boundaries add a quiet texture to the edges of the map without drawing the eye away from the streets.

Zakaj New Badah
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People hang a map of New Badah because it is home, or was once. The plan is small and specific enough to recognise at a glance, and the canal lines tie it to the wider Sindh landscape that anyone from the area will know.
You can add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or a year, and set the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters are also available.
