Niagara Falls Map Poster & Print
Niagara Falls, Ontario, sits on the western bank of the Niagara River, facing the city of the same name in New York State. On the map, the river is the dominant feature, broad above the falls and narrowing into a deep gorge below them. The Niagara Parkway follows the water, and the city's streets extend west from the river in a largely regular grid.
The Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three waterfalls here, lies mostly on the Canadian side and is one of the best-known natural landmarks in North America. The Rainbow Bridge crosses the gorge to the United States just downstream, and Queen Victoria Park lines the riverbank opposite the falls. Hydroelectric plants draw water from the river both above and below the falls.
A Niagara Falls map poster shows the unmistakable horseshoe curve of the falls and the sharp line of the gorge, with the orderly city grid alongside. It is one of those places where the geography itself is the landmark, and it reads clearly in any of the five styles.

Niagara Gorge
Below the falls, the river runs through a narrow gorge with steep sides, drawing a strong, winding line north toward the Whirlpool and eventually Lake Ontario.
Rainbow Bridge
The arch bridge crosses the gorge just downstream of the falls, linking the Canadian city to Niagara Falls, New York, and marking the international border on the map.
