Abbey branch line
The railway toward St Albans cuts a slim, steady line through the housing. It is one of the few long straight features in an otherwise curving street pattern.

North Watford Map Poster & Print
North Watford is the residential northern part of Watford in Hertfordshire, about twenty miles from central London. From above, it is mostly suburban housing. Rows of terraces and semi-detached homes bend into crescents and closes, broken up by schools, playing fields and small parades of shops. It is dense but domestic, and very little of it rises above two storeys.
A single-track branch railway runs through the district, linking Watford Junction with St Albans. Watford North station serves the neighbourhood. North of the housing, the ground opens toward Leavesden, where a former aerodrome is now home to large film studios. The contrast between close-set streets and wider open land to the north is one of the clearest features of the area's map.
A North Watford map poster shows everyday English suburbia at its most legible. It has no grand river or historic core. What it has is the fine texture of streets where people actually live: cul-de-sacs, the curve of the branch line and green gaps between estates. The pattern is intricate and calm, and it looks good at any print size.

Crescents and closes
Interwar and postwar estates show as looping crescents and short dead-end closes. Together they form a dense, repeating texture typical of outer-London commuter towns.
Open land northward
Toward Leavesden, the tight street grid gives way to larger plots and open ground. This gives the northern part of the map a lighter, more spacious feel.

Zakaj North Watford
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
North Watford is the kind of place people call home for decades: first flats, school runs, a short walk to the station. A map of it marks those years without making them grand.
The poster can carry your street name, a moving-in date or a family name in the title and subtitle, along with custom coordinates. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download it or have it printed and shipped.
