L'Enfant diagonals
Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York Avenues cut diagonally through the grid. They create sharp angles and small triangular parcels that give the poster its character.

Northwest One Map Poster & Print
Northwest One is a neighbourhood in Washington, D.C., just north of the Capitol grounds and west of Union Station, lying roughly between Massachusetts and New York Avenues on the western side of North Capitol Street. On a map it shows the L'Enfant plan at close range, with diagonal avenues slicing across the lettered and numbered grid to form triangles and irregular blocks.
The area has changed considerably over recent decades. Older public and cooperative housing, including the Sursum Corda cooperative, has been redeveloped, and new residential buildings have appeared alongside the growth of neighbouring NoMa. Georgetown University Law Center sits at the neighbourhood's southern edge, and Gonzaga College High School stands on North Capitol Street.
North Capitol Street, along the eastern edge, is the line dividing the city's Northwest and Northeast quadrants, which is how the neighbourhood's name fits into the city's system. A Northwest One map poster frames this compact district, with the Capitol and Union Station just inside the edges of a slightly wider view.

North Capitol Street
This north-south axis runs along the neighbourhood's eastern edge and divides the Northwest and Northeast quadrants. It is the organising line of Washington's address system.
Near the Capitol
The Capitol grounds and Union Station lie just beyond the neighbourhood, so a slightly wider frame places the district within the monumental core of the city.

Zakaj Northwest One
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Northwest One suits people who have lived through the neighbourhood's changes, Georgetown Law graduates and anyone who works on Capitol Hill. It shows a very specific corner of Washington rather than the familiar view of the Mall.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a graduation year, a first apartment or a street address. Blueprint suits L'Enfant's planned geometry, and Classic black & white keeps it clean. HD files cost $9 and come in six sizes, without a watermark.
