The Sabine River
The river running along the city's eastern side is also the Texas–Louisiana border, a broad natural line that closes off one side of the map.

Orange Map Poster & Print
Orange is the easternmost city in Texas, on the west bank of the Sabine River, which forms the border with Louisiana. From above, the city combines a regular downtown grid near the river with looser, newer development toward the west. Interstate 10 cuts across the northern side and bridges into Louisiana.
Water shapes the edges. The Sabine curves along the east, and bayous and marshland spread across much of the low-lying land around the city. During the Second World War, Orange was a major shipbuilding centre, and industrial sites along the river still show on the map as large, open footprints.
The city is also known for cultural institutions built with timber-era wealth, including the Stark Museum of Art and the Lutcher Theater. A Orange map poster brings together the grid, the river and the wetlands, showing a city defined by its position on the state's eastern edge.

Downtown grid
Near the river, the older streets follow a tidy grid of rectangular blocks, the most orderly and densest part of the city's layout.
Bayous and marsh
Winding bayous and wetlands run through and around Orange, adding soft, irregular shapes to the edges of the street network.
