Los Angeles River
The river runs down the western side of the city in an engineered channel. On the map it reads as a long, clean band that separates Paramount from its neighbours.

Paramount Map Poster & Print
From above, Paramount is a compact piece of the Los Angeles basin. Its streets form a steady grid of residential blocks, broken by long commercial corridors running north to south. On the western edge the Los Angeles River runs in its straight concrete channel, and freeway lines cut the surrounding area into clear shapes. This makes the city easy to read as a neatly bounded patch of the wider metropolitan fabric.
The city's name comes from Paramount Boulevard, the main north–south road through town. Before incorporation in 1957, the area was farming and dairy country, and much of the modern street layout sits on those old parcels. Paramount is also where Frank Zamboni built the first ice resurfacing machine, at a skating rink he ran in town. That small invention has a big place in local history.
A Paramount map poster keeps it simple: dense lines of streets, the pale strip of the river channel, and the thicker bands of arterial roads. With no coastline or hills to dominate, the design is all about rhythm. Block after block repeats with small variations, which suits black-and-white printing well. It works as a quiet, graphic portrait of a very typical Southern California town.

Paramount Boulevard
The road that gave the city its name runs north to south through the middle. It is one of the strongest lines in the grid, lined with shops and civic buildings.
Residential grid
Most of the city is made up of small, regular residential blocks. Together they give the poster a fine, even texture broken only by main roads and parks.

Zakaj Paramount
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People who grew up in Paramount or have family there often want a map of the streets they know by heart. The poster turns an everyday suburban grid into something worth framing, marking a home, a school run or a first address.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a move-in date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The layout suits all of them equally well.
