Valley layout
The town follows the lower ground between hills, so the street network is drawn out into a long ribbon rather than spreading evenly in every direction.

Pingzhuang Map Poster & Print
Pingzhuang lies in the Chifeng area of southeastern Inner Mongolia, in hilly country near the border with Liaoning. The town is known as a coal-mining centre, and its layout reflects that history: residential districts, industrial sites and rail lines strung along the valley floor rather than a single round centre.
On the map, the hills around the town show up as blank space, which makes the built-up area look like a long ribbon following the lower ground. Main roads run lengthways through the valley, with shorter streets branching off to housing blocks and works. The rail infrastructure that served the mines adds long, gentle curves to an otherwise practical grid.
A Pingzhuang map poster suits people who know the town from the inside: those who worked there, grew up in the housing estates or still have family nearby. It does not try to be picturesque. Instead, it shows the logic of an industrial town fitted into a valley, and the Blueprint style suits that engineering character particularly well.

Industrial lines
Rail lines and roads linked to the town's mining history run alongside the residential areas, adding long curves to the map that set it apart from a purely residential grid.
Hills as frame
The surrounding high ground stays almost empty on the map, and that negative space outlines the town clearly, giving the composition a natural border.

Zakaj Pingzhuang
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Industrial towns rarely end up on walls, which makes a map of Pingzhuang feel particularly personal. It is a way to honour a place of work and family and the shape of the valley where both happened.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including Chinese characters for the name if you prefer, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
