The central grid
The historic core follows the regular block pattern typical of towns in the São Paulo interior, producing an even, almost woven texture of streets at the heart of the map.

Pirajuí Map Poster & Print
Pirajuí lies in the interior of São Paulo state, northwest of Bauru, in a landscape of gentle hills and wide agricultural fields. Like many towns in this part of Brazil, it was laid out on a regular grid, and from above the centre appears as a neat patchwork of near-square blocks, with a central square giving the plan its anchor.
The town's growth is tied to the farming economy of the region and to the railway that pushed west from Bauru in the early twentieth century, linking interior towns to the coast. The line is still visible on the map as a long curving stroke that contrasts with the right angles of the streets. Beyond the last blocks, the drawing opens into roads leading off across the countryside.
A Pirajuí map poster captures that simple, orderly structure. The repeated blocks give the image a steady rhythm, while the railway and the irregular fringe of newer neighbourhoods add movement at the edges. In black and white, the town becomes a small study in how planned grids meet the open land that surrounds them.

The railway curve
The rail line from the Bauru direction sweeps past the town in a long arc, one of the few curved elements in an otherwise right-angled plan.
Edges into farmland
Where the grid ends, the map shows roads fanning out into open country, a clear boundary between the dense town and the agricultural land around it.
