Poblacion Map Poster & Print
Poblacion here refers to a district at the southern end of Metro Manila, where the metropolis meets the western shore of Laguna de Bay. From above, the streets form a dense, irregular pattern of small blocks and narrow lanes. They are squeezed between the lakeshore and the highways and rail line that run south from the capital.
Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the Philippines, fills the eastern edge of the map as a wide open surface. The shoreline appears as an uneven line of settlements, small landings and fish pens. Inland, the district joins the continuous urban spread of the southern metropolitan area.
A Poblacion map poster contrasts detail with emptiness. Tightly packed streets on one side face the calm, open lake on the other, and the long transport corridors run north towards central Manila and south towards Laguna province.

Dense street fabric
Narrow lanes and small blocks form a fine-grained urban pattern, typical of long-established town centers across Metro Manila.
Southern corridors
Highways and the rail line run north to south just inland, clear straight lines that connect the district with the rest of the metropolis.
