Terraced streets
Parallel rows of terraced houses create a fine, rhythmic texture across much of the town. It is one of the most recognisable patterns on any West Yorkshire map.

Pudsey Map Poster & Print
Pudsey is a market town in West Yorkshire, set on high ground roughly midway between Leeds and Bradford. Its map shows a classic northern English pattern. A historic centre of short, winding streets is surrounded by rows of Victorian terraces and later suburban estates, which now join it to Farsley, Calverley and Bramley.
The town grew with the woollen industry, and the density of the terraces reflects that era of mills and workers' housing. A large public park near the centre gives the drawing a clear open space. To the south, fields toward the Tong valley soften the edge of town before the next settlement begins.
Pudsey is known far beyond Yorkshire because of Pudsey Bear, the mascot of the BBC's Children in Need, named after the town where its designer was born. It also has a long cricket tradition. A Pudsey map poster puts all of this into lines: the old core, the dense terraces and the green edges that still separate it from its larger neighbours.

Pudsey Park
A large public park close to the centre stands out as an open shape within the tight street pattern. It gives the print a clear focal point.
Green edge
To the south, fields toward Tong keep a band of open land. This gives Pudsey a defined edge instead of letting it merge completely into Leeds.
