Qarasu Map Poster & Print
Qarasu lies in the Ili River valley in the far west of Xinjiang, close to the border with Kazakhstan. On a map the town reads as a tidy arrangement of straight roads and rectangular blocks, laid out on flat ground and surrounded by a patchwork of fields, tree-lined farm tracks and irrigation channels that stretch in long parallel strips.
The Ili valley opens westward between ranges of the Tian Shan, which gives it a milder and wetter climate than much of Xinjiang. That difference shows up in the landscape around the town: instead of desert, the surroundings are cultivated land, orchards and shelterbelts of poplars, all ordered along the lines of the water that feeds them.
Because the town is modest in size, its streets fill the frame without crowding it, and the surrounding field pattern becomes part of the design. A Qarasu map poster shows a place shaped by irrigation and planning, where the geometry of roads and channels says as much about local life as any landmark could.

Irrigated farmland
Around the built-up area, fields, farm roads and water channels form long strips and rectangles, a pattern that turns the countryside into a fine geometric texture on the poster.
Ili River valley
The town sits within the broad Ili valley, which opens to the west towards Kazakhstan and is framed by Tian Shan ranges to the north and south.

Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For anyone with roots in the Ili valley, this map is a quiet reminder of a specific place: the straight streets, the field edges, the roads leading out towards neighbouring towns. Add a personal title, a date or the coordinates to make it a record of home.
The design works in any of five styles. Blueprint suits the geometry of the streets, Sand and Paper soften it, and Noir or Classic black & white keep it sharp. Buy the HD files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional frame.
