A steep ridge rises sharply along the city's western edge, cutting off the street pattern and leaving a clear boundary on the poster where the slope begins.

Qiryat Shmona Map Poster & Print
Qiryat Shmona lies at the northern end of the Hula Valley in the Upper Galilee, close to the borders with Lebanon and Syria. On a map the city sits where the flat valley floor meets a steep escarpment rising to the west. Streets fill the space between, climbing a little way up the slope before giving way to open hillside.
The layout reflects its origins as a development town founded in the years after 1949. Residential neighbourhoods are arranged in blocks and curving streets on the lower slopes, while the main north–south road runs along the valley edge. To the east, fields, streams and fishponds of the Hula Valley fan out in a regular pattern, a sharp contrast with the rising ground behind.
The city's name means Town of the Eight, commemorating the eight defenders who died at nearby Tel Hai in 1920. A Qiryat Shmona map poster shows the city between ridge and valley, a composition where geography sets the edges, and where the orderly fields to the east balance the steeper terrain to the west.

Hula Valley fields
East of the city, flat farmland is divided by straight roads, channels and fishponds, adding a precise, geometric texture to the lower half of the map.
Main valley road
A long north–south route runs along the base of the ridge, forming a strong line that ties the city's neighbourhoods together.

Zakaj Qiryat Shmona
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Qiryat Shmona is a place many people know from army service, kibbutz years or family roots in the Galilee. A map of it is a quiet reminder of the valley and the ridge, and it makes a meaningful gift for anyone who lived here.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a neighbourhood or a year, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir brings out the contrast between the valley grid and the slope.
