Kings River
The river runs along the western side of town, its curving channel and wooded banks a natural contrast to the straight lines of streets and fields.

Reedley Map Poster & Print
Reedley lies in Fresno County, in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley, on the bank of the Kings River. It calls itself the World's Fruit Basket, and from above the reason is obvious: the town grid is surrounded on every side by orchards and vineyards whose neat rows stretch toward the Sierra Nevada foothills on the eastern horizon.
The town grew with the railroad and the orchards in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Its downtown is a compact grid of straight streets, and Reedley College, one of the oldest community colleges in California, occupies a campus in town. Mennonite communities have been part of Reedley's life for generations and remain visible in its churches and institutions.
A Reedley map poster works well at a scale that includes the river and a band of farmland. The Kings River curls past as a soft, organic line, the grid holds the centre, and the square blocks of orchards extend outward like a second, larger grid that fades toward the edges of the sheet.

Downtown grid
A small, regular grid of streets marks the historic centre, with the main commercial blocks close to the old rail line.
Orchard patterns
Rows of peaches, plums, nectarines and grapes cover the surrounding land in large rectangles, turning the countryside into a finely ruled texture on the poster.

Zakaj Reedley
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Reedley means harvest seasons, college years and close-knit churches to many families across the valley. A map of the town, orchards included, feels like a portrait of that agricultural life rather than just a street plan.
