Songsong isthmus
The village fills a narrow strip of low land between two bays, with the Wedding Cake headland rising beyond. It is the most recognisable shape on the map of Rota.

Rota Map Poster & Print
Rota is the southernmost of the Northern Mariana Islands and lies between Guam and Tinian in the western Pacific. Its outline is compact and slightly elongated, and much of its interior rises in limestone terraces toward the Sabana, a broad upland plateau. Roads follow the coast and cross the island in only a few places, leaving large areas of forest and cliff without any lines.
Songsong, the main village, sits on a low isthmus in the southwest that joins the island to Mount Taipingot, a flat-topped headland often called the Wedding Cake for its layered profile. Rota is also known for the As Nieves latte quarry, where massive stone pillars of the ancient Chamorro kind were cut but never moved.
A Rota map poster gives the small grid of village streets, the coastal road and the steep margins of the plateau a clear, graphic form. The isthmus at Songsong is the detail most people look for: a thin neck of land with water on both sides. It reads distinctly even at the smaller print sizes.

Sabana plateau
The upland at the centre of the island appears as a broad, largely roadless area. Its edges drop in steps toward the coast, a pattern typical of uplifted limestone islands.
Airport runway
Rota International Airport lies in the northeast of the island. Its runway is a long, straight line that stands out against the softer curves of the coast and the terraced slopes.

Zakaj Rota
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Rota tends to mean something personal: a posting, a family home, a dive trip or a quiet week away from the larger islands. A map poster records the place with restraint, letting the headland, the village and the plateau speak for themselves without the help of a photograph.
The title and subtitle are yours to edit, so a family name, a year or a village can take the top line. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, and download the HD set for $9: six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files, with no watermark.
