Wümme river
The river meanders through the town in slow curves, accompanied by meadows and green strips. These break up the built-up area and give the map its main natural line.

Rotenburg Map Poster & Print
Rotenburg, often called Rotenburg an der Wümme to distinguish it from other towns of the same name, lies in northern Lower Saxony between Bremen and Hamburg. The Wümme river winds through the area in slow loops. From above, the river’s course and the green meadows alongside it separate parts of the town and give the map a strong natural thread.
The surrounding landscape is flat, with the farmland, woods, moorland and heath typical of the North German plain. The railway between Bremen and Hamburg passes through the town, and main roads lead out in several directions. Rotenburg is also known for large healthcare and social institutions, including a major hospital and the Rotenburger Werke, which give it regional importance beyond its size.
A Rotenburg map poster combines the loops of the Wümme and the green spaces along its banks with the compact centre, the residential neighbourhoods and the long line of the railway. It is a gentle, balanced composition, and the river supplies the curves that the flat land otherwise lacks.

Bremen–Hamburg railway
The main line between the two cities crosses Rotenburg as a long straight stroke that contrasts with the loops of the river.
Northern plain
Farmland, woods and moorland surround the town on flat ground, so the streets fade gradually into open country at the edges of the poster.
