Shively Map Poster & Print
Shively sits just southwest of Louisville, and on a map it reads as part of the larger city's fabric rather than a separate town. Residential streets form short, regular blocks, and Dixie Highway runs through them at an angle, the main commercial spine of the area. Rail corridors and larger industrial parcels mark the edges, where the fine street grain gives way to broad, empty-looking rectangles.
The city's name is tied to Kentucky bourbon. The Stitzel-Weller distillery, one of the best-known names in American whiskey history, stands in Shively, and the area's distilling past shows up on the map as large lots and warehouse footprints among the houses. It is a working landscape, and the linework keeps that plain and honest.
A Shively map poster shows how a small, independent city holds its own shape inside a metropolitan area. The boundary is invisible on the ground, yet the pattern of cul-de-sacs, straight residential streets and the long line of the highway gives the place a recognisable signature. In black and white, the density of the blocks and the open industrial ground balance each other.

Distillery grounds
Large parcels associated with bourbon distilling interrupt the residential blocks, appearing as wide open shapes with a few service roads, a reminder of the industry the city is known for.
Rail edges
Rail lines and yards frame parts of the city, drawn as long, gently curving strokes that separate neighbourhoods and add a sense of movement to an otherwise orderly layout.

Zakaj Shively
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people who grew up here or worked along Dixie Highway, the map is a quiet record of home streets rather than a tourist image. It also suits bourbon enthusiasts who want a piece of Kentucky whiskey geography on the wall.
The poster can carry your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, so a family name, a street or a year can sit under the map. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room.
