Sifra Map Poster & Print
Sifra lies in the Afar Region of northeastern Ethiopia, where the highland escarpment gives way to the low, hot plains of the Rift. The town itself is compact. A map shows a modest set of streets surrounded by a great deal of open land, crossed by tracks and by watercourses that fill only after rain.
Afar is one of the driest and hottest parts of the Horn of Africa. Much of its population has traditionally lived by herding camels, goats and cattle across these plains. Towns like Sifra act as local centres for trade, administration and services within that much wider pastoral landscape.
Because the built area is small, a Sifra map poster reads almost like a study in contrast. A dense knot of short streets sits at the centre, and long lines of road and track reach out across mostly empty ground. The result is a spare, graphic image that suits minimal interiors.

Dry watercourses
Seasonal channels that carry water only after rain cut shallow lines across the surrounding plain and add faint, branching strokes to the map.
Roads outward
A few long routes leave the town toward neighbouring settlements. They are drawn as clean lines that give the composition its direction and its sense of scale.

Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
This map is for people with a real connection to the Afar Region, whether through family, work or a long journey across Ethiopia. Its sparse layout makes an unusual, calm image that stands apart from the dense city maps most people hang.
Write a title in your own words, add a subtitle and a coordinates line, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand has a warm tone that suits this landscape well. The files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
