Sonaguera Map Poster & Print
Sonaguera sits in the Colón Department of northern Honduras, in the green lowland country between the mountain ranges and the Caribbean coast. From above, the town reads as a compact block of streets gathered around its centre, with a handful of roads leaving in different directions toward surrounding villages and farmland. It is defined less by monuments than by the working landscape that surrounds it on every side.
Beyond the built-up area, the map changes texture. Long farm tracks and the regular rows of plantations, a familiar sight across Colón where oil palm is widely grown, give way to streams and the looser lines of rivers draining toward the coast. On paper, this contrast between a dense core and an open, patterned countryside is what gives the composition its particular character and balance.
A Sonaguera map poster reduces all of this to black lines on white: the town grid, the roads that tie it to the region, and the water that shapes the valley floor. It works as a quiet portrait of a place that many people know as home rather than as a destination, drawn with the same care and precision as any capital city.

Plantation patterns
Around the town, fields and plantation tracks create long parallel lines and rectangles, a geometric texture typical of the agricultural lowlands of Colón and striking in fine black strokes.
Rivers and streams
Small watercourses wind through the countryside toward the Caribbean, adding loose, organic curves that balance the straighter lines of roads and fields across the frame.
