Kali Sindh river
The river winds past the town and is the most organic shape on the map. It softens the straight roads and the regular field divisions around it.

Sonkach Map Poster & Print
Sonkach is a town in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, on the black-soil plateau of the Malwa region. From above, it is a compact settlement near the Kali Sindh river. A main highway runs through the area and links it to Dewas, Indore and Bhopal. Most of the built-up area sits close to that road and the river crossing.
The pattern around the town is typical of central India. There is a dense core of narrow lanes and closely packed plots, then a looser fringe of newer streets, and then a wide spread of field boundaries and village tracks. On a black-and-white print, the river's winding course and the straight line of the highway give the image a clear structure.
A Sonkach map poster is mainly for people who know the place: families from the town, people who have moved to larger cities, and anyone who has travelled the road across Malwa. It shows a working agricultural town at the scale of its own streets.

Highway spine
A major road crosses the area and ties Sonkach to the wider Malwa network. It shows as a strong line running through the settlement.
Dense old lanes
The older core is a tight tangle of short streets and lanes. Its texture contrasts with the open farmland that surrounds the town on all sides.
