Talegaon Dābhāde Map Poster & Print
Talegaon Dābhāde is in the Pune district of Maharashtra, in the Maval area between Pune and Lonavala. The town lies on the Mumbai–Pune rail line and near the old highway, and both run through the map as long parallel lines. The hills of the Western Ghats rise to the west, and the town sits on the higher, cooler plateau below them.
The town carries the name of the Dabhade family, who served as generals in the Maratha empire in the eighteenth century. The older part of town, with narrower and less regular streets, is at its core, while newer housing and an industrial area have spread around it as the Pune region has grown.
A lake in the town adds an open shape to the map, and the surrounding land is broken up by low hills and fields. A Talegaon Dābhāde map poster shows an old Maratha town caught between the railway, the highway and the slopes of the Ghats.

Old town core
The older streets at the centre are narrow and irregular, very different from the planned layouts of the newer housing and industrial areas nearby.
Ghat foothills
Low hills and ridges from the Western Ghats rise at the edges of town, making the roads bend and the settlement thin out towards the west.
