Old town core
The oldest streets form a tight, irregular cluster at the centre of town, shaped by centuries of gradual growth rather than a planned layout.

Tekāri Map Poster & Print
Tekāri lies in the Gaya district of Bihar, on the flat, fertile plain that stretches south of the Ganges. The land around it is intensively farmed, and the map shows a compact town surrounded by a fine mesh of fields and village tracks, with small rivers and irrigation channels running across the countryside.
The town was the seat of the Tekāri Raj, one of the larger zamindari estates of the region, and the remains of its fort are part of the town's identity. Today it functions as a local centre for the surrounding villages, with markets and schools drawing people in from the countryside.
A Tekāri map poster shows the dense, irregular heart of an old estate town set against the open plain. It is a modest subject, but one with deep meaning for families from the Gaya region who have moved to Patna, Delhi or further afield.
