Tight town core

Thakurdwara Map Poster & Print
Thakurdwara is a town in Moradabad district in the north of Uttar Pradesh, just south of the state boundary with Uttarakhand. Its name is a term used across northern India for a temple dedicated to Vishnu or Krishna. On the map the town forms a single tight cluster, with lanes packed densely around a few main roads and very little open space inside the built-up area.
Outside the town the plain opens up in every direction. This is productive farmland, and the map shows it as a patchwork of small fields, tracks and villages, each village a compact dot linked to its neighbours by narrow roads. The Himalayan foothills lie some distance to the north, so the land here stays level and the network of paths spreads evenly.
A Thakurdwara map poster brings out the difference between the dense centre and the open countryside around it. At a close crop the lanes become an intricate drawing in their own right. At a wider one, the town becomes the hub of a web of rural roads. Both make balanced prints with strong graphic weight at the centre.

Hub of rural roads
Several roads converge on the town from surrounding villages and neighbouring towns, forming a star-like pattern of lines across the flat plain.
Village mosaic
Small villages sit at short intervals in the surrounding fields. Each is a small dense cluster that echoes the shape of the town on a smaller scale.
